Karate Conditioning

"Karate conditioning" involves  many types of conditioning. Conditioning is when  for example you would punch a makiwara(a piece of wood) this would make your knuckles stronger and after time you would eventually not feel anything, conditioning toughens the parts of your body that need to be able to get punched or kicked.

Conditioning can also be done with a partner and this toughens up both of you at the same time, it toughens up your Stomach your fore arms your chest and many other parts of the body.

Karate Kumite

Karate kumite is the fighting part of karate, over your karate career you have learnt a whole lot of different techniques this the fighting is where you show how well you have learnt the techniques.

A common misconception is when people think the fighting in karate is just to try and beat then other guy up but it is not, during the fight you don't want to just beat the guy you want to show all that you have learnt while at the same time everything is done with power and accuracy.
